my admirer
i was at the native hospital in downtown seattle a few days ago with alisha. while waiting for my meds at the pharmacy, this random guy who was also waiting started talking to me. first, he asked me how old i was (i look younger than i actually am) and then he started telling me about his business (he owns two 18 wheelers). then he proceeded to ask me for my number. i just kind of laughed and told him no and that i was most likely moving. then the people at the pharmacy yelled his name and he said goodbye. i thought the was the last i’d see of him, but as alish and i were walking out to meet my mom, he pulled up in his car and gave me his number. i said thank you and it was nice, but i definetly got weird vibes from the guy.
then tonight, my mom, alish and i went to the local bar. it’s a small joint ran by an awesome greek family. we’re there for about an hour and guess who walks in? yes, the strange guy from the pharmacy! such a small world it is. this bar isn’t even high profile or in the same city! he tried getting me to give him my number, but i somehow finagle my way out of it as nicely as possible and we book it out of there.
strange. so strange.
